Sources of Strength Ohio is led by the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation and PreventionFirst!, with the goal of bringing the life-changing Sources of Strength program to as many Ohio communities as possible.

Sources of Strength is a national wellness program for kindergarten through 12th grade that improves emotional well-being and prevents suicide, substance misuse, bullying, and violence.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the highest quality evidence-based prevention for suicide, violence, bullying and substance abuse by training, supporting, and empowering both peer leaders and caring adults to impact their world through the power of connection, hope, help and strength.

Vision

Sources of Strength's vision is to Empower a Well World.  As partners in this vision, we believe that many strengths are more powerful than one, and our united goal is to activate and mobilize these strengths in ways that positively change individuals and communities. 

  

Secondary & Elementary Programs

Youth Peer Led Programming for Middle and High Schools

The secondary program for middle and high school youth populations, utilizes a team of Adult Advisors and Youth Peer Leaders to promote help-seeking behaviors and develop connectivity. The team collaborates and creates campaigns that focus on building resilience through leveraging strengths.
